Period building refurbishment, Chelsea

The project in brief.
A period building in Chelsea refurbished inside, with the shower rooms rebuilt and the common staircase redecorated. Two finishes run through the bathrooms: warm grey stone-effect tiles with brushed-brass taps, rain showers and flush plates, and white marble-effect tiles with matt black fittings, black-framed mirrors and a herringbone marble mosaic in the shower.
Each room has a walk-in shower behind a frameless glass screen, a wall-hung vanity and toilet, recessed tiled niches and a concealed cistern, so the small spaces stay clear underfoot. On the staircase, the dado panelling, black panelled doors and arched landing window were redecorated.
